MCHES EDO Process Documents
Please make note that the Experience Documentation Opportunity (EDO) process opens on October 15, 2010. On that date, the MCHES EDO application will be made available both online and in paper copy. To assist eligible CHES in completing one step of the MCHES EDO process, NCHEC is releasing some of the EDO forms. Obtaining these forms in advance will aid CHES in the process of acquiring the appropriate documentation, contacting recommenders, and sending the self-appraisal and testament of practice forms to those individuals.

These specific EDO documents are now available in the CHES ONLY resource section of the NCHEC Web site. Please use the Quick Link at the left of the Homepage or click here. CHES will need to login with their username and password to access the forms. Once logged in click on the CHES ONLY tab on the left-hand side.

At this time, NCHEC is releasing three documents:
1) The MCHES Experience Documentation Handbook
2) The Experience Self-Appraisal and Testament of Practice form
3) The Experience Self-Appraisal and Testament of Practice form (Completed SAMPLE)

EDO is a One-time Opportunity
The Experience Documentation Opporunity (EDO) is a One-time Opportunity that will open on October 15, 2010 and close on April 16, 2011. CHES who have held active status for the past five consecutive years will have the opportunity to elect an assessment mechanism of his/her experience. If successful, CHES will not be required to take the exam to obtain the MCHES designation.

The EDO forms are in the final stages of approval and editing. NCHEC anticipates a late summer 2010 release of the forms. In the meantime please view the EDO factsheet.
