
NCHEC encourages CHES/MCHES to pursue continuing education in all of the Areas of Responsibility and Competencies for Health Education Specialist as competence in all Areas is essential to successful health education practice. Continuing education experiences may include seminars, conferences, workshops, academic courses, satellite instruction, training programs, and directed self-study programs.

As of April 1, 2011, NCHEC Designated Providers can offer continuing education contact hours for the new advanced-level certification, Master Certified Health Education Specialist, (MCHES). Designated Providers can view the recorded webinar below that includes information about the new certification, MCHES, and the process to provide MCHES credits for your upcoming program or event.
