HealthFitness has an outstanding opportunity available for an experienced Health Promotion Manager at our new client location in Kansas City, MO.  This leadership position will play an integral role in the start-up of a new comprehensive health education and wellness program and will offer a unique blend of job responsibilities consisting of health coaching, program delivery, outcomes reporting and general program management responsibilities. 

Responsibilities:  This Health Promotion Manager is responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating delivery of the comprehensive health promotion program including biometric screening programs; facilitating group and individual behavior change programs; on-site/telephonic/on-line health coaching (50-60% of workload); program tracking and outcomes reporting; and program marketing and promotions. Additional responsibilities include development and management of annual business plan, strategy and budget; selection, supervision, and development of Health Coaching staff; effective integration with employee health partners (e.g. Safety); oversight of outreach programming; and maintaining client relationship and communications ensuring satisfaction in the delivery and outcomes of all programs and services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Health Promotion, Health Coaching, or related field (master’s degree preferred) and 5+ years experience in health coaching, delivery of corporate-based health promotion programs and development of strategic business plans for the programs, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in the areas of program data collection, data analysis and outcomes reporting. 
  • Demonstrated skill in marketing and promotions, program development and implementation, excellent leadership and customer service skills, quality orientation, attention to detail, budget and financial management and strong organizational, analytical and communication skills.  Program start-up experience a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Outlook and Excel required; PowerPoint and Access strongly preferred.

Role Summary:
