Benefits of CBT

Larger Testing Window. Testing windows are set within the examination months of April (Spring) and October (Fall) of each year. Each window will be open for 10 days.

Easy Scheduling.  Schedule your exam time online 24/7 as soon as you receive confirmation of eligibility. There is no charge for scheduling changes. It is very important to schedule your testing early!

State-of-the-Art Test Centers. Expanded locations across the country provide quiet, low-stress testing environments staffed with helpful experts and the latest technology, including earplugs. Live Remote Proctoring is also an option for testing from home.

Same Content.  The CHES® and MCHES® examination content will not change. It will just be delivered in a computerized format complete with easy tutorials and point-and-click navigation.

Immediate Results.  CHES® candidates will receive an preliminary pass/fail result before you leave the facility. Official score reports and certificates will be processed and mailed after the exam window closes.

Note about MCHES® scoring: Due to the smaller number of eligible MCHES® candidates, this exam is officially scored after all candidates have completed the exam in order to provide the most reliable scoring results as advised by expert psychometricians, and to protect the validity and accuracy of the exam.

Test Site Scheduling

PSI has hundreds of testing sites located throughout the country to choose from.  Site selection and scheduling will be completed after a candidate has received his/her eligibility determination from NCHEC. Candidates will be able to search, select, and schedule testing dates and locations 24/7. Special accommodations are available at all test centers and must be requested through PSI before scheduling your exam appointment.
