NCHEC Can Help You Hire a CHES® and/or MCHES®

UT Health Science Center

Certified Community Health Education Specialist - Beaumont, Texas

UT Health Science Center at Houston is hiring a Certified CHES for the UT Physicians Beaumont Clinic. This position provides professional level skills in the teaching, counseling, training, and research aspects of health education programs in the community and for the institution. 

Experience Required

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, or health related field. Certified Health Education Specialist Minimum Experience: Three (3) years of experience working with community agencies and health related institutions.

Location: Beaumont Gateway Clinic - 3610 Stagg Drive, Beaumont, Texas Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with possibility for extended hours and weekend events Additional Information: This applicant will be able to provide health education to patients in a beautiful clinic setting located in Beaumont, Texas. This applicant will have access to all of the evidence based health education provided by UT Health as a system. This applicant will be working in a beautiful office, with a team of providers and professionals, within the respected UT Physicians health system. The position pays competitively and offers excellent employee benefits.


Medical benefits are covered at 100% for employees; Dental and Vision Insurance options; Teacher Retirement System (TRS) retirement plan – This is a mandatory plan you will be enrolled in automatically. The employee contributes 7.7% of salary and the State of Texas contributes 6.8%. Vesting is satisfied after 5 years of credible service


$20 - $25/hour based on years of paid experience
