National Health Education Week is Monday October 21 – Friday October 25, 2019
We want to celebrate health education with you!
Join us in promoting the critical role that health education specialists play in improving the health and wellbeing of individuals, families, communities and schools through health education and promotion. Every day we will feature profiles of CHES® and MCHES® working hard within many different settings to promote health and wellness. There are many environments and professional settings where health education specialists work, but all CHES® and MCHES® work toward one common goal: creating healthier lives!
About National Health Education Week (NHEW): NHEW is celebrated annually during the third week of October and focuses national attention on major public health issues, provides public education, and improves consumer understanding of health education’s role in promoting the public’s health. NHEW is recognized by the US Department of Health and Human Services and the Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE). For more information about NHEW and for additional activities focused on advocacy and equity, visit www.sophe.org/nhew.
